Those just starting out soon learn it isn't possible to purchase professional quality equipment at local sporting goods stores, despite the fact this equipment 'looks the same'. Of course ordering online presents its own set of challenges, primarily the inability to try before you buy. Every blade and every rubber is marketed and described in such a manner as to lead buyers to believe it will undoubtedly improve their game, so purchasing often turns into an expensive guessing game.
